Here is some information about our terms and conditions that you will find in our Tour Agreement/Contract. Our mantra is to do the right thing for all concerned so we have tried to create terms and conditions that are reasonable and acceptable to all. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any suggestions, questions, or concerns. We are always open to a reasonable discussion.
CONFIRMATION: Your participation in the tour is confirmed upon receipt of a signed Tour Agreement/Contract and the deposit.
DEPOSIT: We normally request a €200 per person non-refundable deposit to reserve your place on a tour.
FINAL PAYAMENT is requested 90 days before departure.
PAYMENT can be made by international bank transfer, or by credit card (VISA or MasterCard) through our secure online portal hosted by Windcave. New Zealand residents can pay the equivalent in New Zealand Dollars via bank transfer.
Cancelling tour participation by the client: If you decide to cancel your tour, the following fees apply at the time (prior to departure) we receive written notice of your cancellation.
More than 90 days before departure loss of deposit, or transfer of deposit towards future travel with us
Between 60 and 89 days before departure 33% of the trip price per person, or transfer of tour payment towards future travel with us
Between 31 and 59 days before departure 50% of the trip price per person, or transfer of tour payment towards future travel with us
Between 15 and 30 days before departure 75% of the trip price per person, or transfer of tour payment towards future travel with us
Between 0 and 15 days before departure 100% of the trip price per person.or transfer of tour payment towards future travel with us less 20% of the tour price.
After tour commencement – no refund available.
Cancellation resulting from Covid 19 travel restrictions:
In the event that the tour is cancelled because of travel restrictions imposed by the Government of the country where we are to run the tour or the European Union related to Covid 19 then the tour shall be postponed to a later date, or you can transfer your booking to any of our tours (ScooterBella, Customwalks, or Mondo Bike Tours) in the next five years that is a confirmed departure.
In the event that the tour is cancelled because of travel restrictions imposed by the clients home Government (i.e., the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand) that makes it impossible* for the clients to travel from, or back to their home country, then the tour shall be postponed to a later date or you can transfer your booking to any of our tours (ScooterBella, Customwalks, or Mondo Bike Tours) in the next five years. * This includes the requirement to isolate or quarantine for a period exceeding 5 days.
SCOOTER RENTAL AND RELATED INSURANCE: You will be renting the scooter from an independent scooter rental company. Scooterbella has pre-paid the scooter rental, and the scooter rental is included in the tour price, but you will be signing the scooter rental agreement with the scooter rental company. Included in the tour price and the rental agreement is third party liability and third party property damage insurance as required by European law. However, you are not covered for damage that you may cause to the scooter.
